A studio the size of one good builder.
Holy City Web Design is deliberately small. Over a decade of building sites, and more than 200 of them, taught us that what clients want is not a bigger team; it is a straight answer from the person doing the work.
What we believe
01 / The short versionSmall is a feature
No account managers, no relay race. The person who scopes your project is the person who stays on it, start to finish.
Local is leverage
We know the difference between King Street foot traffic and a Summerville service area, and we build for it.
Fast sites win
Speed is a ranking factor, a conversion factor, and basic respect for your visitor's time.
Say it plainly
If we cannot explain the work in plain English, we do not understand it well enough to bill for it.
Who you are working with
02 / The person
I am Chris, the owner. I started out freelancing, spent years at an agency, and launched Holy City Web Design in 2024 to work the way I always thought this should work.
That is more than a decade of building websites and over 200 of them shipped. Enough to know which corners cost nothing to cut and which ones cost you customers. Enough to tell you when the thing you are asking for is not the thing you need.
My girlfriend and I moved to Charleston three years ago, and the Lowcountry is home now. That matters for the work: I am not writing about Park Circle or Daniel Island from a stock photo and a map. I have spent time in these places.
You work with me directly. There is no account manager and no queue. When a project calls for a specialist, I bring in people I trust, all of them US based, and I stay on the work and remain your point of contact throughout.
